Welcome back to Undefeated at Locals!

This time I have something a little different for you!

A lot of the team just returned from worlds a couple weeks ago! This was a 3-day event with 2 travel days, long ones for some of us on the West Coast. On this adventure many meals were consumed, though maybe not as many as should have been. My favorite condiment with almost any meal is hot sauce! I love the stuff and will add it on almost anything. With that said I present to you my tier list of The Hot Sauces of Worlds 2025 with every type I was able to consume from my favorite, this slightly creamy salsa verde from Polo Regio to the worst sauce ever bottled and sold Tabasco don’t come at me! It’s slightly flavored vinegar who’s only place is in certain recipes where vinegar is needed.

The highlights:

Polo Regio Salsa Verde: This was INCREDIBLE, easily the best of this type of hot sauce I’ve ever had. It was creamy but not from an added sour cream or even avacado, at least as far as I could tell. I could eat this on anything and absolutely smothered my tacos (which were also very good and not “Tex-Mex” style as expected) in it. I will be wishing I could get this here in Reno for a while.

Polo Regio Mild Red: This was also very good, even if it’s more of your classic Restaurant Style salsa than a hot sauce. It had good flavor and was great on their fresh chips.

Arizona Gunslinger Jalapeño Pepper Sauce: Marvin and I tried this on our fries at 4 Peaks Brewing Company inside the Phoenix Airport during our layover on the way to Texas and it was fantastic! It’s rare to find a jalapeño hot sauce that’s made from red jalapeños, as most are picked and used while they are green. This was so good that I purchased a bottle online when we got home, it had the perfect heat level and was great on fries and the burger.

Cholula Original: A classic reliable restaurant table staple, and my favorite major brand that’s available anywhere. It’s good on almost anything and is my favorite on breakfast items. I added it to my Hotel café breakfast burrito every morning.

I had others as you can see on the tier list but these were the most notable (and most reliable as far as the Cholula) ones.

I have also added a tier list I made of all the food I ate at worlds, I am sure some of you will not like where I have put Whataburger, just know I don’t put In N Out any higher or lower even being a west coast kid.

Thanks for coming to my hot sauce Ted talk. What’s your favorite hot sauce? Don’t like hot sauce? What’s your favorite other condiment?
