The Last Daily Rizz
By Marvin Emory
Thank you for tagging me in again, Elijah. I want to preface this article by saying this guy has become one of my best friends in the community, many of you I’m sure have been subjected to his trolling, but at heart Elijah is an awesome guy, a fantastic player, and an even better friend. Which is why, out of love, and the fact that I do want to offer him the best Rizz advice (my final master piece, if you will) we will be discussing why having charisma (Rizz) is a supreme attribute to have, both in the UniVersus CCG and in life!
The day was October 16th, 2024. This day would set you on a path that changed everything, do you remember why Elijah? I can explain. At 05:44 PM, you joined the Let’s Talk UVS Discord Server. This would set you on a multi year path that would result in becoming homies with people like Sam Tate, DisasterDan, Marvin Emory (me I guess) and Andrew Porat. Fantastic players that you knew had winning records at several major events, and that playing against them, theory crafting with them, would up your game infinitely. And it worked! You used your charisma, becoming close friends with many players including myself, and used it to improve and help improve others play, and you weren’t going to stop there! This would lead you to joining one of the most prominent teams in the game, LTUVS, and eventually hitting Top 16 with a deck you built with the one and only Drew. Using your own charisma got you things some could only dream of in this game, and we can apply this to life as well, but before that, let’s address the audience!
This article is not meme-only, although that is definitely a large part of it . But the message here is some of the best advice I can give you in this game, and really anything else in life. Making friends, being willing to talk to anyone and everyone, will improve your play FAR MORE then you could ever improve it by yourself. We always hear the phrase “two heads are better then one” and this is completely accurate and can be applied to all avenues of life. Because of how far technology has come, we have so much knowledge at our finger tips, through community discord servers where we can talk and even test with each other online, YouTube videos where not only can you learn by watching but also through the comment section, all the way to just lurking on UVS Ultra for hours in a day just reading cards. There is so much to be learned in this game, so please don’t limit yourself to 1-2 people. Right this second you could go into the LTUVS server, head on over to #looking-to-test and play with who I consider to be the best player in the world, Andrew Porat, and so many other players of varying skill levels, who all have a single goal in mind, GETTING BETTER! I hope my rambling came off as sincere, as it really is, I truly believe this is an important discussion. Elijah may have trolled you, he can come off that way a lot, as can many others, myself included at times, but don’t let that stop you from reaching out to them and taking their advice to heart, as in these servers, their primary goal is improvement, and they will never take that lightly.
Thank you for reading, and thank you Elijah for your patience. You asked for Rizz advice, from so many people. Most of us, the cool ones anyway, gave you cards to derive a message from. It was fun, there was some good ones, but my intent is to have this all come to a conclusion today. If I may paint you a picture, please feast your eyes on The Last Daily Rizz!
I hope you understand the message here, and apply it to all of your future endeavors Elijah I love you all, until next time, peace!
